My Anchor
Life is like “Sea”. And we are ships, trying to navigate through both – the calm sea and the turbulent waves (read the journey of life). And as a ship I am one who loves speed, very impatient, loves to face the tough waves. But I know that for the ship to last long and enjoy the journey it will need an ANCHOR. And yes, I got my ANCHOR. Simple and Stable. So I may go into deep sea, fight with the high waves but come back to the shore and ‘anchor myself’ to my ANCHOR……

Prisoner of my dream…
It’s been sometime I did something new. So after my attempt to learn guitar I have started learning driving. This was more a necessity as I gifted myself a car. Yes I got my first love and yes it took some time but the wait was worth it. It is scary to drive your new vehicle as a small scratch on it feels as if someone has touched your beloved :-)
Its been crazy last few weeks at work. Sometimes it is difficult to understand why I am running so much. Sometimes I feel it’s not worth it. In that case why do I push so hard? And the answer is that I am a prisoner. Yes ‘ Prisoner of my dream’. And what will be critical is to pace myself as it is a marathon. So I look forward to each and every opportunity to have fun. It is important to enjoy the process.

I am able to see another mountain peak.....
It’s been a roller coaster year for me. The first two months were crazy with my placements at ISB in Feb this year. YES I cracked the code (read placements) !!! But suddenly the importance of my ‘career’ (which, for me, was one of the most important goal in ISB) just vanished in the first week post my placements. And what dawned upon was that in the last 9 months I build one of my greatest assets. Yes, they are the FEW awesome friends at ISB. Friends for life!!!
It is like a garden for me. And for me these few chosen people are seeds that I have planted in my life, even sometimes unknowingly… Now post-ISB these seeds have blossomed into flowers…. And whenever I see these flowers I feel so good about life. And yes I feel possessive about them as well.
So what next was the question that plagued me once I joined work. The small eyes were looking for another mountain to climb. But for the first time the horizon was broad and therefore the clouds were very dense. The eyes kept looking at the clouds for few months for it to fade out (Eternal optimist - as one of my friends called me). And then suddenly one night under the moonlight (read reflection) the clouds vanished. And there was another mountain peak. It was shining. As if calling me to conquer it. This was one of the tallest peaks that I have seen so far. But unlike in the past, this time I didn’t take too long to decide to start my journey.
Hey peak, here I come……………………….

Life is Beautiful!!!
Boundless field of dreams, countless hopes inviting desires and intoxicating needs
Always a step ahead, always more bright, always inviting, too near but far away
Never look back and never brood over, do not weep for the past, but cheer for the future
Life is beautiful, always except to the ones who carry it.

small eyes BIG DREAMS
Flashback: 4 years back: A young CA - on a high - after cracking the Chartered Accountant examination (all three levels in first attempt alongwith his graduation). Walks into Arthur Anderson office in express towers, nariman point for his interview. He has been called by all the top MNC auditing firms for interview. 'Life is beautiful'
Had to wait for 1/2 hour for his interview. Decides to venture out in the building. Lands on the 21st Floor - Mckinsey office. One of the Dream Companies for most of the people of his age. His folder had his CV and decided to just put his CV to the HR dept in Mckinsey. The security guard on the floor obstruct hims and didn't allow him inside the door, not even to the outside reception desk. He is informed that no outsider are allowed even at the reception. Heated arguments are exchanged and the security personnel informs him that it doesn't matter whether he is a CA or anyone else. Mck doesn't allow everyone into their office. The young man is standing out with the courier person and is forced to give his resume to the security personnel. ' HUMILIATING'
His small eyes sees a big dream. Will enter the Mck office form the very same door some day.
Present: Today after 4 years the same young guy lands himself on the 21st floor of express towers- As a Mckinsey Consultant. The only difference is that he is escorted to the sea view conference room inside the door with the receptionist welcoming him with a broad smile. 'Life is beautiful'

Heart over Mind. Mind over heart.
Many times i come across situations where heart says something and the mind says something else. What to do. which one to trust.
I believe that following ones heart gives satisfaction. But we still follow mind and devoid ourselves of this pleasure. Funny i'snt it. But the real game is to follow ones mind and reach to a stage(could be a particular status in life, maturity or a specefic age) from where the mind says follow your heart.....

Ready to be a child again...
This is the time post ISB. Last year was an event in my life. At ISB i made few Beautiful friends who will form part of my life. I will miss the time spent with many friends. It gave a reason to smile amidst the hectic pace at ISB. I will also miss the silence of my room- it answered few questions but raised many more.
At ISB trauma transforms. Some will become more knowlegable (at least they will believe that). Some will become more confused (trying to guess what did the new animal-read MBA- changed in them). But everyone will move on in life.
What will happen to me. Well, i guess as i am getting ready to move on, I am ready to be a child again. Yes a kid....
Curious to explore, stubborn in accepting things thrown at me without rationale, ready to try out new things as i do not know what is right and what is wrong, and innocent enough to get away with misdeeds :-)
